The development of great readers as well as contributors to the written word. Students are exposed to all genres of writing through self-paced contracts. Poetry, novels, short stories, scripts, and collages are a few of the areas of exploration.

Poetry Patterns

The following Creative Writing majors read at the lower downtown Tattered Cover on May 10, 2003. They had their poems published in the Foothills Academy publication: POETRY PATTERNS. Denver University's Bin Ramke was the judge for this year's publication. He is a nationally acclaimed published poet and the father of Nic Ramke, an alum of the Creative Writing program at DSA.
