In this concert, presented by both the Creative Writing and Bands Departments, students wrote pieces and set them to original music. Composer/musicians Jennie Dorris and Alaunde Copley-Woods worked closely with the students arranged in quintets, on communication skills in order to compose and write together in a creative, collaborative project.
The culminating concert was awesome and precedent setting for both departments!

The Jazz Symposium is an annual tradition is in its third year and offers
jazz students the unique opportunity to work closely with internationally
renowned jazz artists for 3 days, culminating in a collaborative concert.

The Band Showcase this year not only presented the Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, 3 Woodwind Quintets and the Jazz Link Big Band, but the Wind Ensemble premiered student
Amy Darling's piece, "Airborn" to a standing ovation.

The annual Bands Silent Auction is embedded in the Winter Concert. The concert featured: Concert Band,
Wind Ensemble and Jazz Workshop Orchestra along with 3 Woodwind Quintets, a Woodwind Quartet,
Trumpet and Marimba Premiere, Percussion Quintet, Flute Choir, a Saxophone Quartet, 2 Brass Choirs,
a Percussion Duet and a partridge in a pear tree...
