Who are the Friends of the Denver School of Arts?

  • We’re a group of parents, community members, businesses, and foundations organized to provide financial support for DSA.
  • We fund the Visiting Artists and Scholars Program to provide master classes and other programs for all DSA disciplines.
  • We fund and award the Kay Schomp “Follow Your Dream” Scholarships to DSA students each year in honor of our founder, Kay Schomp.
  • We assist with travel funding for DSA students and teachers.
  • We provide funding for DSA special projects.

  • We attract generous support for DSA from major donors such as The Denver Foundation, Gay and Lesbian Fund for Colorado, Fine Arts Foundation, JFM Foundation, The McMurry Foundation, DSA parents, John and Mari Ann Martin, the Friends Board, Shell Rocky Mountain Production LLC, The Chatham Foundation, John and Judith Temple, Jack and Celeste Grynberg and the Scripps Howard Foundation.

The Friends want to thank all of the DSA families who joined the Friends during registration. You may join at any time during the year. The basic membership level is $45.00.
