DSA will have a competitive speech and debate team this year.
The month of October is filled with Novice level tournaments that take place on Saturdays (usually finished by 4PM).  The meet schedule will be added to this site along with times and directions within two weeks.

We will be having an informational lunch (free food) sometime during the second week of school in room B118.   I will give a brief overview of the different forensic events from which students can choose and the three types of debate formats.  Please e-mail me or see me if you plan to come so that I buy enough food.

Any student who is interested please see me (Mrs. Davies).  I am willing to coach during high school lunch and any night after school except Wednesdays due to faculty meetings.  Most of the work is self directed so formal team meetings with all members present will be rare.  Coaching time from me should be individualized and set up on a timeline according to your event so that you will be ready for competition.

Come out for one tournament and you'll be hooked!
