Ben Klibaner:

Bad Love Poem

It’s like that one guy said, I could compare you to a summer’s day,

I could liken you to a flower,

I could make endless metaphors about how fiery and passionate and what-have-you this whole love thing is.

I could explain to you how being around you is like a drug,

How I’m dizzy in your presence.

But I won’t.

Not because it’s already all been said, not because it’s cliché.

No, it’s mostly cause I just really don’t like you that much.

You know the saying that goes if you love someone let them go?

Well it’s double true if you don’t really love them at all, and are just using them for entirely physical purposes.

So…yeah…you can go now, if you want.
