Monday - Planets to scale. Received study guide. Quiz on Wednesday.

Monday - This was a stripe day.
Homework: read pages 22-24 and answer questions #1-4 &7-8 from page 25.
Wednesday - Homework was due. We discussed the universe, galaxies, stars, solar systems.
Friday - Investigation #4. Size of the planets, and location of the planets in our solar system. Quiz next Friday.
March 31- April 4
Wednesday - Students completed Investigation #2 Lab for Astronomy.
Thursday - Students read Investigation #2 and we took notes about the moon. Start Investigation #3. It focuses on the relationship between
the earth and the moon. It also focuses on gravity.
Homework: Page #14 #1-6
March 17 - 21
Monday
Wednesday - Students created visions of Earth from space and from the inside of the Earth. We began Investigation #1 from Astronomy.
Friday - We are going to study the String Theory.
February 25 - 29
Students were handed the final project for Dynamic Planet on Friday. This is due on Monday, March 3.
Homework: Complete a
Project Update to let me know that you are staying on top of your
project. This assignment will tell me where you are in the project.
Wednesday - We are working in the computer labs.
Homework: Second Project Update to make sure that you are staying on top of your project.
Friday - Final school day to work on the project!

Wednesday - Students are working on a lab about Pangea.
Homework: Read pages 56-59 "Digging Deeper." Answer questions #1-6 from page 60 on the Pangea Sheet. If you can't answer the questions on the Pangea sheet, do the questions on another sheet of paper, and attach it to the Pangea Sheet. This is due first thing Friday.
Friday - Pangea discussion, final project discussion.
February 11-15
Wednesday - Complete "Earthquakes, Volcanoes, and Mountains". Handed out study guide. Quiz Friday.

February 4 - 8
Monday: A little switch from the norm. We went to the concert hall to do a sound wave lab. The students saw different frequencies of waves, and how they can change.
Wednesday: We will complete the Plate tectonic lab with a lecture and notes.

Wednesday - Students completed the convection cell lab.
Friday: We introduced the tectonic plate lab.
January 22-25
Wednesday - Students completed Activity 2 with a lecture and notes
about waves. They received their study guide for the quiz on Friday. Students began Activity 3 "Forces that Cause Earth Movements."

Friday - Quiz today. Upon completing the quiz, we will complete Activity 3 "Forces that Cause Earth Movements."

January 14-18
Monday - Introduced Investigation 2. Students discussed "What is Inside the
Earth?" Completed the first have of the wave lab. The wave labs
objective is to introduce students to waves, and how to measure the
speed of waves.
Wednesday - Complete
the second half of the wave lab. In class, we will read as a class the
"Digging Deeper". Students will then complete Review and Reflect
questions #1 - 6.
Friday - We will start with a
lecture to complete Investigation 2 and then we will move onto
Investigation 3.
Homework: Review and Reflect page 21 #1-6.
Next week there will be a quiz on Friday!!!!!!! You will get your study guides on Wednesday, Jan. 23.
