Community Updates Oct 2nd

Hello DSA Community!

A few Updates and then off to the weekend!

High school parents, if you receive a call from an organization called the “Dream Scholars Foundation” do not release any information to them and do not pay for their SAT/ACT prep services. This company does not a have sound reputation in the community. For more information regarding this company you can go the Better Business Bureau web-site.
The first early release day for the 2009-2010 school year will occur on October 16, 2009. Students will be released at 11:29 am. DPS school busses will depart DSA at 11:37 am.
Parent/teacher conferences are scheduled for October 19 & 20^th from 3:00 pm – 7:30 pm. Appointments for conferences may be made beginning October 12^th with individual teachers through email or voice mail.
Picture retakes are Monday (Oct 5^th). Re-takes will be for only the following kids:

1) Students who were absent on Wednesday, August 26^th (middle school) or Thursday, August 27^th (high school). You’ll have to refer to your IC for this.

2) Students who have money in their hand to take and pay for a picture

3) Students who have their UNCUT original picture packet with them and want a retake.
