VCA Home Page

The VCA mission is the education of our students in the art, craft, and technology of film, video and animation. The program offers intensive hands-on production experience. We nurture individual talent and skills, and encourage students to become creative and thoughtful practitioners in the world of media.

We uphold each student's right to freedom of speech as protected by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. However, all students must make their projects within the parameters of national, state, and local laws. Projects completed here at DSA need to be appropriate for a broad audience - parents, family, and student audiences.

VCA News

VCA Juniors & Seniors attend the 2009 Sundance Film Festival The Video Cinema Arts juniors and seniors attended the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah from Wednesday, January 21 until Sunday, January 25th. For five days they viewed premieres, documentaries, features, animations films. The students gained knowledge to complete their Senior Project movies. Mr. Glassman of VCA and Ms. McGrath, who teaches film studies chaperoned the trip.
