Welcome to the 2007-2008 School Year!

The VCA mission is the education of our students in the art, craft, and technology of film, video and animation. The program offers intensive hands-on production experience. We nurture individual talent and skills, and encourage students to become creative and thoughtful practitioners in the world of media.

We uphold each student's right to freedom of speech as protected by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. However, all students must make their projects within the parameters of national, state, and local laws. Projects completed here at DSA need to be appropriate for a broad audience - parents, family, and student audiences.

VCA Seniors at the 2008

Sundance Film Festival

sundance08:

The Video Cinema Arts seniors had an experience that they will never forget at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. They attended the event from Wednesday, January 23 until Sunday, January 27th. For five days they viewed premieres, documentaries, features, animations, and avant-garde films.

The students came away with knowledge and enthusiasm to complete their Senior Project movies. Mr. Glassman of VCA and Ms. McGrath, who teaches film studies, chaperoned the trip.
