Thanks to Band parents that are helping at concerts - sell food, sell tickets, and manage the house!

The Band Department is doing all it can to raise necessary money to keep Practicing Artists and other music and material purchases with food sales at concerts and car washes.  Another way to support the department is to buy your Holiday tree through the department.  For every tree sold up to 3 seedlings are planted!  Order from a student or go to http://www.dsabandbenefit.com/ to order over the phone.

Music Theory Class Offerings
The Music Theory offerings at DSA have grown out of what the music faculty feel students need, especially if they continue music study at the college level.  The Music Theory content amounts to a 2.5 credit class on high school music majors transcript.  Class descriptions offered this semester can be viewed here:

Student Homework
Band students are reminded that the assignments listed below are in addition to the 45 minutes to an hour and a half practice that is recommended daily to keep up with band pieces, private lesson and other musical material.

Students are encouraged to attend a summer music camp, take lessons regularly and have a ton of fun over the summer!
