I met Vivienne during lunch the first week of December, when she greeted a friend with a very elegant arabesque, prompting me to ask if she was a dance major. Vivienne is surprisingly not, choosing instead to major in Theatre at DSA, as she has a passion for musical theatre. At the age of 12, she already has quite the stacked resume! She will walk the runway at NYFW SS 2022 and snagged the lead role of Clara in the International Ballet School’s production of The Nutcracker. It was delightful to share conversation with this young star and hear of the many exciting things she is a part of; aside from being incredibly talented (ahem! She tied for 2nd place at this year’s International Ballet Competition Youth America Grand Prix), she is bubbly and kind. Miss Khong-Shields is definitely one to watch and an excellent example of the bright young artists at DSA!
