I have had Esme as an orchestra student for seven years. The amount of progress she has made on the viola is incredible. I had the pleasure of hearing her senior recital recently. I was amazed by the musicality and technical proficiency she demonstrated that evening. Esme Watkins is great example of someone who entered DSA with limited playing experience, She leaves DSA as a first-rate musician. Esme will be a great asset to any university or college she chooses to attend. I believe she should be recognized for her ability, courage and perseverance.
