After asking for a letter of recommendation for college, Summer offered to come have lunch with me so I could get to know her better. In my 10 years of teaching I’ve never had a student want to spend their lunch time with me for any reason, let alone just to chat and get to know each other! Summer is a kind and dedicated young woman who I believe has many reasons to be in the spotlight 🙂
