About Stagecraft & Design

Experience the Power and the Magic of a Hands-On Arts Education

What do you hope to experience and achieve in high school?

Are you a creative, artistic, three-dimensional thinker? Do you enjoy imagining, then bringing your creations to life? Do you thrive in a collaborative, hands-on, team-oriented environment? Are you interested in costumes, fashion design, makeup and prosthetics, hair and wigs, lighting, projections, set/scenic, props, sound or audio production?

Denver School of the Arts’ Stagecraft and Design Department might be just the place for you!

As a Stagecraft and Design student at DSA, you’ll have the opportunity to design shows, explore advanced technologies like electronics, robotics, STEM elements, and become a student leader in the Career and Technical Education program.

Through work on dozens of performances throughout each school year, our students gain real-life experience designing and executing in these disciplines, preparing them for all sorts of imaginable futures in careers such as: technical theatre, film and television, interior design, industrial design, fashion design, corporate event management, engineering, architecture, and business management.
